Skills Development Training

The Challenge

High youth unemployment and limited access to vocational training remain major challenges for many young people in The Gambia. Without practical skills and economic opportunities, youth are more vulnerable to poverty and irregular migration.

Our Response

Caritas Gambia provides skills development training to equip young people and vulnerable groups with practical competencies that improve employability and support entrepreneurship.

Training programs focus on market relevant skills that enable participants to generate income and build sustainable livelihoods.

Key areas include:

Vocational and technical skills training

Entrepreneurship and small business development

Impact

Skills development initiatives help young people gain practical experience, improve their employment prospects and start small businesses that contribute to local economic growth.

Through these programs, youth are empowered to become productive members of their communities and agents of positive change.
