The Challenge
Political tensions, social divisions and misinformation can weaken trust and increase the risk of conflict within communities, especially during sensitive periods such as elections.
Our Response
Caritas Gambia promotes peaceful coexistence and social stability through dialogue, civic engagement and community based conflict prevention initiatives.
Key activities include
Community dialogue and mediation platforms
Peacebuilding training for community leaders, youth and women
Civic education and awareness on non violence and tolerance
Engagement with religious and traditional leaders to strengthen local peace efforts

These initiatives help strengthen trust, promote peaceful conflict resolution and empower communities to work together in maintaining social harmony and stability.
