INTRODUCTION

Caritas Gambia is the social and development arm of the Catholic Diocese of Banjul. Established in 2001, the organization coordinates economic, social and relief initiatives that promote human dignity, justice and sustainable development across The Gambia.

We work with communities, institutions and partners to respond to poverty, vulnerability and social fragmentation through practical, accountable and community driven interventions.

Caritas Gambia is registered with the NGO Affairs Agency of The Gambia under NGO Certificate No. A 85 NGO and is a member of the Caritas Internationalis confederation.

OUR VISION

To attain the fullness of life for every human person and eliminate poverty in all its forms among people in The Gambia.

This vision guides our commitment to inclusive development, social justice and human dignity for all, regardless of creed, ethnicity or political affiliation.

To coordinate the Catholic Diocese social development agenda through charitable and complementary initiatives that promote holistic human development.
